SEEKING NEW BOARD MEMBER
The Groton Housing Authority Board of Commissioners is announcing a vacancy on the Board of Commissioners due to the death of our long-time member, Brooks Lyman.
The remaining Members of the Board of Commissioners are seeking individuals to fill Mr. Lyman’s seat on the Board. The person selected will be appointed to the Board by joint roll call between the remaining Members of the Groton Housing Board of Commissioners and the Groton Selectboard. The person appointed will serve until May 2020 (when the next Town Election takes place.) That person will need to run for re-election and their term will run until May 2024.
Groton residents interested in serving on the Groton Housing Authority Board of Commissioners should send a letter of interest by email to Chairman Deirdre Slavin-Mitchell at office@grotonha.org or by U.S. mail to Groton Housing Authority, 19 Lowell Road, Groton, MA 01450. Consideration will be given to all who are interested. Those with strong financial and/or housing backgrounds will have priority.
