Groton Grange: A Season of Hope

Just a reminder, Groton Grange #7 will not be holding its 2020 Town-wide Litter Cleanup, scheduled for April 25 & 26. Like so many other things in our lives it has been put on hold to a later time. However, we have seen almost daily citizens of Groton cleaning up our roadsides while walking their dogs or just enjoying the season.
These are indeed troubling times. The Grange has been witness to other stressful periods since its formation in the late eighteen hundreds. There have been wars, economic collapse, terrible devastating acts of Nature and other pandemics as well. We need to have faith in the human spirit, and hold onto the hope that this too shall pass.
The Grange is an agricultural organization. As such we are perhaps more aware of the changing seasons than others might be. Spring is indeed a season of hope. Planting a garden is always an exercise in this hope.
