History Center: Sargisson Birds, a Mystery Painting, and More

Groton History Center will hold an Open House Sunday, March 8, 2 to 4 p.m. There are two new exciting exhibits on display.
• The History Center recently received a donation of 11 exquisite bird carvings by Groton woodworker and conservationist, the late Harvey Sargisson.
• In addition, browse the display of portraits of citizens from Groton’s past, with well-known names such as Gilson, Sawtell, Tarbell, Shattuck, Boutwell and Blood. Help write the story of the mystery painting.
