Hearing on Dredging Sargisson Beach

In accordance with the provisions of the Wetlands Protection Act, MGL Ch. 131, §40, as amended, and the Town of Groton Wetlands Protection Bylaw, the Groton Conservation Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 8:00 PM at the Groton Town Hall, 2nd floor meeting room, 173 Main Street, to consider a Notice of Intent (NOI) submitted by the Sargisson Beach Committee to dredge sand that has eroded into Lost Lake/Knops Pond and restore it to the recreational beach area. The work will occur within Land Under Water and the 100 ft. Buffer Zone of Lost Lake/Knops Pond on property located off Whiley Rd. on Groton Assessors' Parcel 132-21 and belonging to the Town of Groton known as Sargisson Beach.

  Copies of the NOI are on file in the Commission office in the Town Hall.
