LEGAL NOTICE

   Pursuant to the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act and the Townsend Wetlands Bylaw, the Townsend Conservation Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at approximately 7:15 pm. The hearing will be held virtually via Zoom meeting and in person at Town Hall, on a Notice of Intent (NOI) filed with the Conservation Commission by Mike Gray. The property is located at 75 Pierce Road (Assessor’s Map 31, Parcel 28, Lot 7). 

   The ongoing project is for the construction of an addition to a single-family home and replacement of a septic tank. Part of the construction is taking place within 100 feet of an intermittent stream.

   Parties wishing to speak in support of, or in opposition to, this application may do so at the meeting or in writing prior to the meeting. Copies of this application are available for review at Town Hall during business hours.

   In accordance with the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40C, the Groton Historic Districts Commission (GHDC) will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, April 25^th, 2023, at 7:50 pm at The Groton Town Hall, First Floor Meeting Room, 173 Main Street, Groton, MA 01450. This meeting will be held to consider the application submitted by owners, Luke and Katie Kenney, seeking a Certificate of Appropriateness for 58 Hollis Street, Assessors Map 112-113 to install a fieldstone retaining wall. This meeting will be held to consider the application submitted by Gus Widmayer, seeking a Certificate of Appropriateness for 240 Main Street, Assessors Map 112-90 to remove the balustrade from the roofline. In accordance with the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, M.G.L Ch. 131, Sec. 40 and the Groton Wetlands Protection Bylaw, the Groton Conservation Commission will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 7:05 p.m. to consider an Amendment to Order of Conditions MassDEP#169-1210 for work at 601 Lowell Road (Groton Assessor’s Parcel 126-15).  The new work involves the construction of a garage at 601 Lowell Road as well as the demolition of an three existing residential structures at 599 Lowell Road (Groton Assessor’s Parcel 242-3).  The meeting will be held in the Groton Town Hall, 2nd Floor meeting room with the option to connect virtually via Zoom (subject to the Governor extending the remote meeting option) - please see https://www.grotonma.gov/events/ or call/email the office of the Conservation Commission at 978-448-1106 or conservation@grotonma.gov for details regarding this hearing.
