Scenic Roads Application – Old Dunstable Road (Lewis, Parcel 248-2)

   In accordance with the provisions of Sections 184-3 and 381-48 of the Code of the Town of Groton, the Planning Board and Tree Warden will hold a virtual public hearing via Zoom on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at 7:30 PM, to consider the application submitted by Richard Lewis to remove approximately 20.5 feet of existing stone wall within the right-of-way located on the west side of Old Dunstable Road (Assessors Map 248, Parcel 2) for a new driveway.

BROADMEADOW ROAD IMPROVEMENTS

   The Town of Groton Town Manager, in conjunction with DPW Director, Land Use Director/Town Planner, Conservation Administrator and Stormwater Inspector, will conduct a Public Hearing on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at the Center, 163 West Main Street, West Groton, MA to receive public input on various proposals to improve Broadmeadow Road. The Town’s Consultant, Environmental Partners, will present various options to improve Broadmeadow Road. The public is encouraged to attend to provide feedback on the various proposals.

The Town of Townsend (“Town”), through the Board of Selectmen and the Board of Water Commissioners (“Boards”), requests qualifications from qualified firms for Owner’s Project Manager (“OPM”) services for the final design, procurement, and construction of a new water treatment plant. OPM services will commence immediately after contract award. The Groton Electric Light Department is accepting bids for a recently retired digger truck.

TOWN OF TOWNSEND

CONSERVATION COMMISSION

LEGAL NOTICE

   Pursuant to the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act and the Townsend Wetlands Bylaw, the Townsend Conservation Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, December 14th, 2022 at approximately 8:00 pm. The hearing will be held virtually via Zoom meeting and in person at Town Hall, on a Notice of Intent (NOI) filed with the Conservation Commission by Aaron & Wendy Williams. The property is located at 5 Madison Avenue (Assessor’s Map 31, Parcel 28, Lot 10). 

   The proposed project is for the construction of an addition to an existing single family home, an enlarged driveway, and associated fill and grading. Part of the construction will take place within a Riverfront Area and portions of the fill and grading are within 100 feet of a Bordering Vegetated Wetland.

   Parties wishing to speak in support of, or in opposition to, this application may do so at the hearing or in writing prior to the hearing. Copies of this application are available for review at Town Hall during business hours.

Dunstable Conservation Commission 

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

   The Dunstable Conservation Commission (DCC) will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, December 12, 2022, 6:40pm to consider a Notice of Intent filed by the Town of Dunstable Conservation Commission for property owned by the Town of Dunstable and located at 673 Main St, Map 12, parcel 116 Lot 1.  The DCC is proposing construction of an elevated public boardwalk to link two adjacent conservation parcels currently divided by a bordering vegetated wetland. The boardwalk will provide a structurally safe wetland crossing that is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).  This is a joint hearing under the requirements of MGL Ch. 131 §40, as amended, and the Dunstable Wetlands Protection Bylaw and Regulations, as amended.  Plans are available at the DCC office at Town Hall, 511 Main Street, Dunstable, MA.
