PUBLIC HEARING

   Pursuant to Section 154-5 of the Bylaws of the Town of Groton (Stormwater Utility), the Groton Select Board will hold a public hearing on Monday, August 8, 2022 at 7:15 P.M. at the Groton Town Hall, Second Floor Meeting Room, 173 Main Street, Groton, MA. The purpose of the Hearing will be to receive input so the Select Board may set the Stormwater Utility User Fee sufficient to meet the costs incurred by the Stormwater Facilities Utility for Fiscal Year 2023.  

   All interested parties are invited to attend.

Special Permit – Section 218-8.1F Shared Driveways

   In accordance with the provisions of Chapter 40A, §§ 9 and 11, M. G. L., and the Code of the Town of Groton, Chapter 218, the Groton Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at 7:00 PM in the Town Hall to consider the application submitted by Robert P. Kiley, Trustee (Maple Avenue Realty Trust) for a Special Permit under the provisions of Groton Zoning Bylaw Section 218-8.1F Shared Driveways.  The application is for a shared driveway on Maple Avenue serving Lots 1 and 2 of the Hayes Woods Subdivision as shown on the plan entitled, “Stormwater Permit Plan (Lots 1-2), Maple Avenue, Groton, MA” prepared by Dillis & Roy Civil Design Group, dated February 15, 2022. 

   Copies of the application and plan are on file in the Planning Board office and the Town Clerk’s office in the Town Hall. The Town of Groton does not discriminate on the basis of disability. Dunstable Conservation Commission

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

   The Dunstable Conservation Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, July 25, 2022, 6:40pm to consider a Notice of Intent filed by Daniel Walent for property owned by Daniel and Shannon Walent and located at 650 Pleasant Street, Map 7, Lot 16-0.  Mr. Walent proposes to raze a deck, remove a portion of the driveway and stonewall, construct an addition, deck and extend the driveway within the 100-ft. Buffer Zone of a Bordering Vegetated Wetland.  This is a joint hearing under the requirements of MGL Ch. 131 §40, as amended, and the Dunstable Wetlands Protection Bylaw and Regulations, as amended.  Plans are available at the Commission’s office at Town Hall, 511 Main Street, Dunstable, MA.  For information email: CMann@dunstable-ma.gov.

Drought Alert

Revised Water 

Conservation Program

Effective Immediately

   Due to the lack of winter and spring precipitation, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts has indicated that our region is currently experiencing a “moderate” drought. Therefore, the Board of Water Commissioners must preserve the existing drinking water resources and curtail all lawn irrigation until further notice.

   All outside lawn watering in limited to Saturdays and Sundays on an Odd/Even “only”  schedule until further notice.

   In accordance with the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, M.G.L Ch. 131, Sec. 40 and the Groton Wetlands Protection Bylaw, the Groton Conservation Commission will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. in the Groton Town Hall, 2nd floor meeting room to consider a Notice of Intent (NOI) filed by Tracie Smart for the installation of a replacement tight tank and new municipal water service connection at 14 Valley Road (Groton Assessor’s Parcel 129-38).
