Come See The J.D. Poor Murals at the Groton Inn

On behalf of th Groton History Center I want to thank the Groton Inn for hosting a reception for the official recognition of the J D Poor murals' placement at the Inn. Tricia Tomkins, general manager, arranged for all guests from the community to have delicious food and drink while admiring the final touches added to the painted walls created well over a century and a half ago.
The Groton History Center wishes to recognize our business/ organizational relationships especially the Groton Inn and Indian Hill Music as major supporters of our efforts to secure the walls for display so that we all can acknowledge this special opportunity to publicly showcase this historical and uniquely New England art genre. We are also very appreciative of all the community support through fundraising efforts and CPA money voted on by the town.
We invite everyone to stop by the Inn to take in the two murals that complement the warm and receptive space that welcomes all visitors who cross the Main Street threshold for a stopover for whatever the reason.
