LETTER: Respectful Communication & Big Picture Thinking

On June 9, 2020 or prior to by absentee ballot, Groton voters will have an opportunity to vote for two individuals to represent them on the Select Board. This particular race is contested with candidates Peter Cunningham (write-in), Alison Manugian (incumbent) and Becky Pine (incumbent).
When selecting two representatives for the Select Board, I must consider the experience and skill set that will enable our municipal leaders to better guide our Town through the incredibly complex challenges we will endure over the next few
years.
I ask my fellow Groton voters to join me in voting for write-in candidate Peter Cunningham/44 Smith Street and incumbent Alison Manugian for Select Board.
It is through attending and participating in many current and past Select Board meetings with Peter Cunningham (former Select Board Member) and Alison Manugian that I have witnessed the respectful way they communicate their perspectives with fellow board members, apply logic and big picture thinking to offer ideas, solutions and opportunities that will be an immeasurable asset for our Town as we weather this storm.

Respectfully
Marlena Gilbert
