Pease Has Background, & Temperament to Be Selectman

Dear Editor:

It is not often that one comes across a candidate for Selectman in Groton that is as qualified for said position as Barry Pease.

I have had the privilege to work with him on the Finance Committee for the past 2 years. During this tenure, I havtwo found him to be a fast learner and a good listener. He works well with other members of the board, participating in the many varied financial issues facing the town. He possesses the patience (of Job) as we slowly wade through them.

Barry presents himself as a gentleman, as we (the board) take positions on items calling for a position. He can respectfully disagree with you, and respect those that differ with him.

Barry is a family man, married with two children in the school system.

As a resident and voter in Groton for over a half-century, I find it most refreshing to endorse a young person with the background and enthusiasm to step up to the task.
