Evelyn M. (Albach) Sticklor

Evelyn M. (Albach) Sticklor, 89 passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at UMass Medical Center in Worcester, Monday, January 7, 2019.  Evelyn had celebrated 62 years of marriage with her late husband, Arthur G. Sticklor, Sr. who passed away in 2010. 

Evelyn was born on July 1, 1929, the daughter of the late Harry and Anna (Langenberg) Albach. She grew up in Jamaica Plain and spent her adult life in Groton. She worked as a clerk at Groton Pharmacy, as a partner beside her husband at several family business endeavors, as a real estate broker and as a bookkeeper at Cream Crock Distributors for more than 40 years.

She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, cooking for her family and friends and babysitting her grandchildren.  Most of all, Evelyn loved spending time with her family.

Evelyn is survived by her four children, Diane Whitney of Groton; Arthur G. Sticklor, Jr. and his wife Gail of Leominster; Gail Strobel and her husband Bruce of Groton; and Paul Sticklor and his wife Michelle of Groton. She leaves 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.  Evelyn is predeceased by her sister Elsie Levandouski of Florida and her son-in-law Harold Whitney of Groton.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Evelyn for a period of memorial visitation from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Badger Funeral Home, 45 School Street, Groton. Funeral services and interment will be private at a later date.
