Mary Ann Brouillette

Mary Ann (Carew) Brouillette, longtime resident of Groton, MA passed away on May 17, 2018 at the age of 85.

  Mary Ann was born in Medford, MA to the late Fredrick J. Carew and Mary C. (Curry) Carew on October 11, 1932.  She graduated from Arlington High School 1951 and went to Business School. She served the Sacred Heart Parish in many capacities as a daily communicant and long term member of the Legion of Mary, and led prayer services at Nashoba Park and Rivercourt Residences. Mary Ann worked with Meals on Wheels, Hospice, Cooperative Elder Services, Girl Scouts and enjoyed being a Pen-pal for the School children.

   Mary Ann has touched many lives with her graciousness, gentle spirit and was full of gratitude.  She was the epitome of kind.  She led by example without seeking acclaim merely because it was the right thing to do.

   Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 62 years George R. Brouillette, who was her High School sweetheart and her six children; Linda of Springfield, NH and husband Edwin Howes, Richard of Greenville, NH and wife Karen (Nistler), Beverly of Bow, NH and husband Theodore Gamlin, George Jr. of Holliston, MA and wife Susan (Drew), Susanne of Lunenburg, MA and husband James Cote, Marie of Marlboro MA and husband John Cohan. She left 15 loving and adored Grandchildren and one Great-Grandchild. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Yvonne Marie Gaudette and her husband Edward of Lexington, she was also predeceased by three siblings.

   A visitation was held Tuesday, May 22 from 4-7 PM at the McGaffigan Family Funeral Home, 37 Main St. (Rte. 113) Pepperell. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, May 23 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Grace Parish Worshipping at St. James Church, 3 St. James Ave., West Groton.
