Muriel Vincent

Muriel Vincent of Largo, FL passed peacefully at the age of 91, at her home on February 14, 2019.

She was born in Boston, MA in 1928, as the daughter of Ernestine and John McCann. She graduated from Waltham High School, and her career was spent as a secretary at Raytheon and Volunteer Insurance. 

When she moved to Groton, MA, her passion became arts, crafts and gardening. She was an incredible seamstress and created beautiful appliqués for clothes. No challenge was too tough. After her retirement, she found a new passion in woodworking where she found her niche in using the scroll saw. Her other interests were painting, ink stamping and her two dogs, Patrick and Shane. She loved her dogs dearly.

Muriel is survived by her son David Vincent and his partner Mary Murphy of Largo, FL, who both lovingly cared for her when they moved to Florida several years ago, and her daughter and son-in-law Linda and Robert Ottavi of Brookline NH.

A private ceremony followed by cremation was held in Largo, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in gratitude to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
