OBITUARY: Mary Zale Kozicki

Mary Zale Kozicki, 94, of Wethersfield, CT, beloved wife of the late Andrew G. Zale and the late William Kozicki, died Monday, September 9, 2013.  Born in Scranton, PA, daughter of the late Joseph and Domicella Venzlauskas, she resided in the greater Hartford area for 73 years. She was a life-long member of Holy Trinity Church where, since 1940, she served in leadership positions in many church organizations, most recently on the Parish Council.  She served as an office manager at Hamilton Standard Corp for 30 years.

Mary is survived by two daughters, Dorothy and husband Dr. Robert Tufo of West Newton, and Audrey and husband Kevin Flannery of Delray Beach, FL as well as a son, Dr. Andrew Zale and wife Dorothy of Groton. She was predeceased by a son, Joseph Zale, who died in action in Vietnam. Also surviving are two sisters, Domicella Rydziel of Wethersfield, CT and Helen Cravath of Scranton, PA; her seven grandchildren Nicole, Joseph, Christopher, Annelise, Gwendolyn, Mary, and Andrew; and 10 great grandchildren.

Her funeral service was held September 14, viewing was at Molloy Funeral Home, 906 Farmington Ave., West Hartford, CT followed by a Mass of Christian burial at Holy Trinity Church, 53 Capitol Ave. Hartford, CT. A private burial will be in Ellington Memorial Cemetery.
