Virgil Paul Rabbitt

Virgil Paul Rabbitt, age 49 and longtime resident of Groton, passed away on May 25, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Christine E. (Butler) Rabbitt.

Virgil loved spending time in his garage working on different projects with his sons. He enjoyed going to the races, as well as working on friend’s cars. He enjoyed watching the Bruins, Washington Redskins and NASCAR. During the winter months, he enjoyed snowmobiling and snow plowing. Virgil always listened to his music very loudly. He enjoyed cigars, whiskey and beer. Virgil Rabbitt was the kind of man that if you called and needed him for anything, he would be there without any hesitation. He was well loved and will be missed by all.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Nichole (Rabbitt) McNulty and her husband Terence of Billerica; Jessica Rabbitt of Townsend; Joshua Rabbitt of Groton; and Nathan Rabbitt and his wife Krista of Camp Lejeune, NC; his cherished grandson Thomas Leighton; and his parents Thomas J. and Claire L. (Smith) Rabbitt. He is also survived by his brothers Sean Rabbitt and his wife Lynn of Orange; Christopher Rabbitt and wife Susan of Fiskdale; and his many nieces and nephews. 

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Virgil on Sunday June 3, 2018 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the Badger Funeral Home, 45 School Street, Groton, MA. Funeral services and interment private.
