FREE Public Forum on “Propaganda, the Media, and (the Fate of) Democracy”

How can we tell “fake news” and “click bait” from reality?  If voters have direct access to elected leaders via social media, why do we need an open and trusted media to keep us informed?   What is our role as consumers and disseminators of information? Are we the problem or the solution?

Shirley Democratic Town Committee invites you to attend a free public forum “Propaganda, the Media, and (the Fate of) Democracy,”  Thurs., March 2, 7-8:30 p.m., at The Bull Run Restaurant, 215 Great Rd., Shirley, to discuss these and other related concerns.

Free hors d’oeuvres, cash bar Attendees are asked to enter the back door of the restaurant to easily access The Studio Room downstairs.

Panelists: Melissa Lynch, former local journalist and communications specialist; Mass. State Senator Jamie Eldridge; Former Shirley Selectman Chip Guercio; Mass. State Representative Jen Benson.

Shirley Democratic Town Committee is a local political party committee established to uphold and advance principles of the Democratic Party.
