St. Andrew's Offers 19th Annual Nativities Display from Around the World

Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Ayer, will host its annual “In A Manger” event on Saturday, December 7, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, and on Sunday, December 8, Noon to 4:00 pm.
     Begun in 2001 with 75 nativity scenes, this year’s display will feature close to 500 creches from around the world. Founder Carolyn Smith is committed to providing this opportunity to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the commercial holiday season to wonder and marvel at how the birth of Jesus is depicted in different cultures through varied artistic expressions.
     This event is free and open to the public. Homemade cookies and hot apple cider will be available to visitors of this exhibition.
     St. Andrew’s is located at 7 Faulkner Street in Ayer and is a welcoming and family friendly church. The Sunday Celebration of Holy Communion is at 9:30 am. Sunday School begins at 9:15 am for school-aged children and Child Care is available for infants and toddlers. Children are always welcome in church.
