The McGaffigan Family Funeral Home is Prepared to Safely Care For Families and Loved Ones During the COVID-19 Pandemic

The McGaffigan Family Funeral Home remains committed and prepared to safely care for the families we serve during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Whenever possible, the McGaffigan Family Funeral Home will continue to enable families to participate in the rituals and services that matter to you and your loved ones.
The health and safety of our families, guests and employees is our top priority. We want to assure you that our team will continue to take proactive measures to help prevent the spread of any potential illness. We are closely monitoring and following guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization, as well as the Massachusetts Board of Funeral Directors & Embalmers, and Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
In addition, we have implemented a comprehensive plan of sanitizing measures, with special attention to high-traffic/ high-touch areas, such as register book, door knobs, chapel spaces and restrooms. If any of our employees are experiencing flu-like symptoms or are otherwise un-well, they are advised to remain at home in accordance with existing guidelines.
Our goal is to consistently provide outstanding service and comfort to the families and communities we serve. As a stakeholder who has personally served our community for over six decades, it is our responsibility to protect the health of the general public. Please note that in light of Governor Baker’s temporary ban of gatherings of greater than 25 people, some components of services may require adjustment as a matter of protecting the health and safety of you, your loved ones, and the public. We commit to operating in full compliance with all COVID-19 related guidelines and recommendations and honoring your preferences to every extent possible. We will update our website with any additional information and guidance as it evolves.
Lastly, the McGaffigan Family Funeral Home has reached out to local Senior Center organizations and are on standby to aid these organizations and members as needed, and whenever possible. If you are aware of any elderly member of our community who may need assistance in grocery shopping, transportation to doctor’s appointments, or has other needs that we can fulfill, we encourage you to contact us at (978)-433- 2100.
Please stay safe and wash your hands.
