Frank and Louise Scimemi celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary on February 4. Louise is a lifelong resident of Groton. Frank is originally from Tyngsboro and moved to Groton in 1949 after their wedding. Frank is a WWII veteran. They enjoy attending their church in West Groton and the Groton Senior Center.

Groton BSA Troop 3, led by their committee chairman Britt McKinley, made their annual winter hike into the White Mountains where they stayed at the Carter Notch AMC Hut. Conditions required the use of snowshoes and micro-spikes to complete the journey.

The Big Book: Pages for Peace Foundation recently received sponsorship donations from the Bull Run Restaurant and Workers Credit Union. Plaques acknowledging their contributions are on display at the exhibit. Their generous support will help fund the exhibit at Prescott School Community Center through June, as well as finance the summer peace book exhibit at the Fitchburg Art Museum.
