ORCHESTRA of IH Announces 42nd Season

The Orchestra of Indian Hill, led by Maestro Bruce Hangen, offers the region’s symphony-lovers a perfect alternative to driving into Boston, with top-notch classical concerts, affordable tickets, free parking, and world-class guest artists.

Entering its 42nd season of outstanding music-making this fall, the Orchestra of Indian Hill will perform six classical concerts at Littleton High School Performing Arts Center from Oct.-April.

“Bringing life to music is what we do and who we are,” says Artistic Director and Conductor Bruce Hangen. He adds that the 2016/17 season will offer a wide range of musical styles, historical periods, and geographical regions: Season highlights include Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6; Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1; Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite; Tan Dun’s Contrabass Concerto: The Wolf; Kraft’s Kennedy Portrait; Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 3; and Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.

In addition to Bruce’s dynamic pre- and post-concert talks, the season will also feature a series of evening “Discovery Lectures” related to the concert programs and beyond.
