Jimmy Fund Walk

Groton resident, Josh Haskin, is walking the Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai for the 28th time. Josh was a treated at Dana-Farber 33 years ago, and wanted to give back. “I owe my life to the doctors and nurses that treated me,” Josh writes.
After seeing first-hand, the tremendous work the Jimmy Fund did, Josh knew that he wanted to support the organization that had given him so much. He walks every year with his friends and family and looks forward to seeing other walkers and volunteers. “My sons now participate in the Walk,” Josh writes. “This makes the event even more special.” Josh is a member of JAHWalkers, which hopes to raise $6,000.
The Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk raises the most money of any single day walk in the country. Scheduled for Sunday, September 22, funds raised from the Walk will support all forms of adult and pediatric patient care and cancer research at the na- tion’s premier cancer center, Da- na-Farber Cancer Institute. The Jimmy Fund Walk has raised more than $135 million in its 30-year history. Every dollar raised helps patients at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
To register for the Walk (#JimmyFundWalk), to support a walker, or to volunteer, visit www. or call (866) 531-9255. Registrants can enter the promo code NEWS for $5 off the registration fee. Walkers can walk any of four distance options, so there is a chance for everyone to participate!
