On May 30, the Crusaders (12-5, 6-2 Mid-Wach B) clinched the Mid-Wach B League title by defeating Nashoba (11-8, 5-3) in a nail biter of a game. JV Coach Joe Bisbee tweeted “Captain Kasey Griffiths hit an absolute bomb to tie it in the sixth, and the go-ahead single in the seventh,” driving in Jared Whitby with the winning run to lift the Crusaders over the Chieftains. Whitby went 2 for 4 with a stolen base and Isaac Zhang added a single and an RBI. Doug Tompkins robbed a Chieftain of a homerun to close out the game.
