Bringing Outdoors Indoors for Thanksgiving

Floral Designer Margo Pullman demonstrated the process of creating a Thanksgiving arrangement using autumn foliage, seasonal berries and pods, dried vegetables and fall flowers for the November meeting of the Groton Garden Club. She also created a holiday arrangement, using a conditioning method for shaping branches and unique flowers in an "Up & Down" design.

New Mass. Veterans Benefits Calculator

The non-profit Veterans Legal Clinic at Harvard Law School unveiled a new website that features the Massachusetts Veteran Benefit Calculator. It is designed to help Massachusetts residents who have served in the military and their dependents to determine if they might be eligible for financial assistance, of up to an estimated $1,000 under the Chapter 115 Benefits Program that provides one-time or ongoing cash assistance based on need.

Fuel Assistance 2019 - 2020

Community Teamwork’s Fuel Assistance program runs from November 1 - April 30. This program helps lower income households with their fuel bills. If you are a Groton senior resident and your income is $35,510 or less for a one-person household or $46,437 or less for a two-person household, you may qualify for Fuel Assistance.
