NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Dunstable Board of Selectmen will hold a public hearing on the following pole and wire locations petition filed by National Grid on Tuesday, February 06, 2024, at 5:15 p.m. for the following:

Massachusetts Electric Company d/b/a National Grid requests permission to locate poles, wires, and fixtures, including the necessary sustaining and protecting fixtures, along and across the following public way: #30741280 Mill St - National Grid to install 1 SO Pole on Mill St beginning at a point approximately 1200' feet east of the centerline of the intersection of Main St and continuing approximately 15 feet in a south direction. Install Stub Pole 9-84 across the street from Pole 9.

Also, for permission to lay and maintain underground laterals, cables, and wires in the above or intersecting public ways for the purpose of making connections with such poles and buildings as each of said petitioners may desire for distributing purposes. 

Persons with an interest in this public hearing are asked to appear at the Town Hall, 511 Main Street, Dunstable, MA on the date and time affixed to this notice.

At its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 6:35pm in the Town Hall lower level, the Dunstable Conservation Commission will consider a Request for Determination of Applicability (RDA) to replace the existing well at 155 Off Pond Street.  Request submitted by Roberta Servente from 155 Off Pond Street, Dunstable, MA 01827.  The Commission will make its determination in accordance with the provisions of the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, M.G.L. c.131 § 40, its associated Regulations (310 CMR 10.00) and the Town of Dunstable General Wetland Bylaw.  The RDA is on file in the Commission office at the Town Hall.  Please call 978-649-4514 x230 or email CRock@dunstable-ma.gov to review the application.

The Dunstable Board of Selectmen will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 6:00 pm at the Dunstable Town Hall, 511 Main Street, Dunstable, Massachusetts for the purposes of determining the percentages of the local tax levy to be borne by each class of property for the Fiscal Year 2024. This hearing is in compliance with M.G.L. Chapter 40, Section 56. Members of the public may present verbal or written comments prior to or at the hearing.

  The Dunstable Planning Board will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, November 6th at 6:45pm at the Dunstable Town Hall, 511 Main Street, lower level, regarding the application by Lisa & Richard Towle for a Special Permit under Section 11.7 of the Town of Dunstable Zoning Bylaw. The applicant wishes to create a backland lot and retain existing buildings upon it. An existing driveway will service the current house and become a common driveway for the backland lot and a conventional lot with a new single-family dwelling and associated septic, well and utilities proposed. The subject parcel contains 9.5+/- acres with ~400’ of frontage on Groton Street, Dunstable, MA assessor’s map 9 block/lot 1-0, and is in the R-1 Residential zone.    The Dunstable Planning Board will hold a Public Hearing, on Monday, October 16, 2023 at 7:00 p.m in the Dunstable Town Hall, 511 Main Street, lower level. This hearing will be regarding proposed amendments to the “Zoning Bylaw of the Town of Dunstable” pursuant to Chapter 40A, Section 5, of the Massachusetts General Laws, as follows: 

1) Amending the Zoning Bylaws SECTION 22.  TOWN CENTER DISTRICT, C. “Uses Permitted by Special Permit:” to include: 

• Conversion of existing buildings for the sale of alcohol products for off premise consumption to be limited to one establishment in the TCD. The sale of nips (spirits sold in the volume or 2oz. or less), cigarettes, and lottery tickets are prohibited.

   The Dunstable Conservation Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, 6:30pm to consider a Notice of Intent filed and owned by Cynthia Golubisky-DiPrizito for property located at 211 Off Pond Street, Map 14, Lot 14-0.  Ms. Golubisky-DiPrizito proposes to raze a single-family dwelling, porch, deck, timber landscape wall, chain-link kennel, subsurface sewage disposal system, retaining walls, stairway to beach, floodplain alteration, floodplain compensation, grading and associated utilities within the 100-ft. Buffer Zone of a Bordering Vegetated Wetland, Bank of Massapoag Pond and Bordering Land Subject to Flooding. This is a joint hearing under the requirements of MGL Ch. 131 §40, as amended, and the Dunstable Wetlands Protection Bylaw and Regulations, as amended.
