   The Dunstable Planning Board will hold a Public Hearing, on Monday, October 16, 2023 at 7:00 p.m in the Dunstable Town Hall, 511 Main Street, lower level. This hearing will be regarding proposed amendments to the “Zoning Bylaw of the Town of Dunstable” pursuant to Chapter 40A, Section 5, of the Massachusetts General Laws, as follows: 

1) Amending the Zoning Bylaws SECTION 22.  TOWN CENTER DISTRICT, C. “Uses Permitted by Special Permit:” to include: 

• Conversion of existing buildings for the sale of alcohol products for off premise consumption to be limited to one establishment in the TCD. The sale of nips (spirits sold in the volume or 2oz. or less), cigarettes, and lottery tickets are prohibited.

   Anyone wishing to be heard on these matters should appear at the time and place specified above.  Complete text and map of the Town Center Zoning District may be viewed at the Dunstable Town Hall, Office of the Board of Selectmen, 511 Main Street, Dunstable.  Please call for appointment or come in during office hours.

  At its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 6:30pm at the Town Hall lower level, the Dunstable Conservation Commission will consider a Request for Determination of Applicability (RDA) for the proposed construction of a detached garage, extension of driveway, and associated grading within the 100’ buffer zone at 145 Depot St. Request submitted by Norse Environmental Services, on behalf of the applicant Kenneth Tully for owner Patricia McAuliffe of 145 Depot St, Dunstable, MA 01827. General Laws 166A, S1, will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Dunstable Town Hall, 511 Main Street, Dunstable, MA as part of the Town’s Verizon cable television license renewal process. The federal Cable Act, 47 USC 546 and Massachusetts license renewal regulation 207 CMR 3.05 require a public proceeding on the license renewal proposal of Verizon and such hearing shall allow further ascertainment of the community’s cable-related needs and interests. Public comment is invited regarding the Verizon license renewal proposal and the Town’s cable needs and final action may be taken on the proposed renewal license.  The Town of Dunstable is soliciting bids for the following services in accordance with Chapter 30, §39M, Massachusetts General Law.

"Renovation of Town Common Bandstand”

The estimated value is Not to Exceed $69,000. All contracts must be strictly awarded in accordance with the requirements of this Invitation for Bids. The Town of Dunstable has no discretion under the law to consider bids that fail to comply with those requirements, except for minor informalities as permitted by MGL. If it becomes necessary to revise any part of this IFB or otherwise provide additional information, an addendum will be issued to all prospective bidders who received copies of the original request.

Specifications and bid materials are available on the Town of Dunstable website www.dunstable-ma.gov. Contact: Jason Silva, Town Administrator, Town Hall, 511 Main Street, Dunstable, MA 01827, telephone number (978) 649-4514, beginning immediately, between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Sealed bids are due no later than Monday, October 2, 2023, at 4 PM and should be mailed or delivered to Jason Silva at Dunstable Town Hall, 511 Main Street, Dunstable, MA 01827. All bids must be received by this date and time to be considered. 

Prevailing wages as determined by the Department of Labor and Industries under the provisions of Massachusetts General Law c. 149, s.26 apply to this contract. A 5% bid deposit and 50% payment bond are required based on the not to exceed value of $69,00.00 and must be submitted with the signed contract. 

OSHA 10 certification to be submitted with bid and is required for any worker performing work on Town property. The Town of Dunstable reserves the right to reject any or all bids when it deems to be in the best interest of the Town. A contract award will be made within 30 days after the bid opening.
