The Town of Dunstable is accepting sealed bids until 1pm on Tuesday June 20, 2023 at the Town Hall, Highway Department, 511 Main Street, Dunstable MA 01827 for Materials, Paving and Milling. You can request a bid packet Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9am-1pm by emailing KHooper@Dunstable-ma.gov. Sealed bids will be opened on June 20, 2023 at 4pm

There is no Pre-Bid Conference.  The bidding and Award of this Contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L. c.30 39M.  The Town of Dunstable reserves the right to accept any bid, in whole or in part, to reject any/or all bids and to waive minor irregularities and informalities as it deems to be in the best interest of the Town.  

Contractors must be DOT prequalification in Pavement-Surfacing. Five (5%) Bid Deposit 50% Payment and Performance Bonds are required for this project.

   The Dunstable Planning Board will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 6:35pm, in the Dunstable Town Hall at 511 Main Street, lower level, pursuant to M.G.L.c.40, Sec. 15C, the Scenic Road Law, for the purpose of partially removing a small section of rock wall in order to get in equipment to property. Work to be completed at 47 Thorndike Street, a scenic road, Map 16 Block/Lots 14-0. Applicant: Benjamin Moore of 18 High Bridge Hill, Nashua NH 03063

   At its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 6:35pm in the Town Hall lower level, the Dunstable Conservation Commission will consider a Request for Determination of Applicability (RDA) to upgrade a failed septic system at 492 Forest Street. PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE

   At its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 6:35pm at the Town Hall lower level, the Dunstable Conservation Commission will consider a Request for Determination of Applicability (RDA) to conduct a geotechnical boring investigation within the New England Power O42-5 Tap overhead electric transmission line right-of-way. The purpose of the Project is to collect geotechnical information to support a future project to refurbish the transmission line. It will cause limited temporary impacts from the placement of timber construction mats to the wetland resource areas Bordering Vegetated Wetlands, Bordering Land Subject to Flooding, as well as to the 100-foot Buffer Zone and 200-foot Riverfront Area. Request submitted by VHB on behalf of the applicant New England Power Company for the Dunstable substation on Pleasant Street and west over Unkety Brook, Dunstable, MA 01827. The Commission will make its determination in accordance with the provisions of the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, M.G.L. c.131 § 40, its associated Regulations (310 CMR 10.00) and the Town of Dunstable General Wetland Bylaw. PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

   The Dunstable Conservation Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, January 23, 2023, at 6:35pm to consider a Notice of Intent filed by James & Pamela McCarthy for property owned by James A McCarthy Rev Tr. & Pamela G McCarthy Re. Tr. and located at 125 Thorndike St; Map 16, parcel 51 lot 0.  The McCarthy’s propose construction of a single-family home with associated driveway and sewage disposal system within the 100-ft. buffer zone of a Bordering Vegetated Wetland; including a wetland crossing for the driveway to gain access to the upland area at the rear of the lot. The NOI submission is also being made concurrently with the Natural Heritage and Endangered Species Program. This is a joint hearing under the requirements of MGL Ch. 131 §40, as amended, and the Dunstable Wetlands Protection Bylaw and Regulations, as amended.  Plans are available at the Commission’s office at Town Hall, 511 Main Street, Dunstable, MA.
