Gregory Alden Brown
Gregory Alden Brown, 65, formerly of Groton, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, in Odessa, Texas. Greg was the son of Doris J. (Davis) Brown of New Braunfels, TX, and the late Alden G. “Doc” Brown, and the youngest of their three children.
Greg had a passion for motorcycles and trucks. His first word may have been “mack”. Growing up in Groton, he studied automotive mechanics at Nashoba Valley Technical High School, graduating in 1977. Using his gift and talent as a mechanic, he and a friend tried their hand at owning and operating an auto repair shop. Ultimately, greg was unable to resist the allure of the open road. He spent his career as a long-distance truck driver traveling throughout the United States. Greg doted on his family and enjoyed meeting people and making new friends while staying in touch with long-time friends whenever possible. Greg was a kind and gentle soul, had an intelligent and inquisitive nature and is greatly missed.
In addition to his mother, Greg is survived by his wife of 28 years, Belinda K. (White) Brown of Killeen, TX; their daughter Kathryn “Katy” of Dallas, TX; and son Matthew also of Killeen, TX; his sisters Lisa (Brown) White of New Braunfels, TX; and Laurel Brown of Tyngsboro, as well as his nieces and nephews.
