Proposed Zoning Amendment for Firearms Retail Establishments

In accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 40A, §§ 5 and 11, the Groton Planning Board will hold a virtual public hearing via Zoom on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at 7:00 PM, to consider proposed amendments to the Groton Zoning Bylaw, Chapter 218.  The proposed zoning amendments would define Firearms Retail Sales Establishments and provide reasonable regulations and standards for the placement and operation of Firearms Retail Sales Establishments in the Town of Groton.

This will initiate review of the above project pursuant to the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (“MEPA,” M.G.L. c. 30, ss. 61-62L). Copies of the ENF may be obtained from:

A site visit and/or remote consultation session on the project may also be scheduled. All persons wishing to comment on the project, or to be notified of a site visit and/or remote consultation session, should email MEPA@mass.gov or the MEPA analyst listed in the Environmental Monitor.
