INVITATION TO BID
The Town of Groton, Massachusetts, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids for the Whitney Pond Wells Water Treatment Plant, Town of Groton, Massachusetts in accordance with the documents prepared by Environmental Partners Group. The Work under this Contract includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the construction of the Whitney Pond Wells Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and modifications to Well Stations 1, 2, and 3. The Whitney Pond Wells WTP will include: a pre-fabricated metal building system; chemical storage tanks and chemical feed systems; an iron and manganese filtration system; air scour blower; lagoons; and associated structural, architectural, process piping, instrumentation and controls, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, and electrical work to provide a fully functional water treatment plant as specified in the Contract Documents. Modifications to Well Stations 1, 2, and 3 include selective demolition of chemical feed systems; instrumentation and controls; and replacement of process mechanical equipment, piping, and appurtenances. Additional well station work includes miscellaneous architectural work, yard piping, and appurtenances, as shown in the Contract Drawings. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the project site (864 Lowell Road, Groton, MA 01450) on January 6, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting. Sealed Bids from Subcontractors for the filed sub-bid categories designated herein will be received until 2:00 PM prevailing time on January 28, 2022 for the following filed sub-bids:
