Groton Hearing on Water Rates, Fees, and Charges

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
In accordance with Chapter 40, section 42-A to 42-I, of the Massachusetts General Laws and the Town of Groton Usage Fee Regulations, the Board of Groton Water Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing, in the 1st Floor Meeting Room of the Town Hall on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 8:00 P.M. in order to review and adjust accordingly the water rates, fees and miscellaneous charges per the Town of Groton Water regulations.

Groton Finance Committee Vacancy

FINANCE COMMITTEE VACANCY
Effective immediately, there is a vacancy on the Groton Finance Committee. The appointment to fill the vacancy shall be done by a 3-person committee (Troika) that shall consist of the Chair of the Select Board, the Chair of the Finance Committee and the Town Moderator.
     All interested individuals shall complete a Committee Interest Form by Tuesday, November 30, 2021. Committee Interest Forms can be found on the Town’s website at https://www.groton- ma.gov/government/boards-and-committees/committee-interest-form/. The Committee will contact interested individuals with a chosen meeting date and time.

The Select Board has scheduled a public hearing with the Board of Assessors, within a regular Select Board meeting, on Monday, November 22, 2021, at 7:15 p.m. at the Groton Town Hall, 173 Main Street, 2nd Floor Meeting Room. The purpose of this hearing is to receive comments on the issue of adopting a tax levy percentage for Fiscal Year 2022. All interested parties are encouraged to attend.

In accordance with the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40C, the Groton Historic Districts Commission (GHDC) will hold a virtual Public Hearing via Zoom on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at 7:30 pm. Abutters and interested persons may participate in the Hearing by following the instructions which will be provided at the beginning of the meeting. This meeting will be held to consider the application submitted by owner, Christine Berard, seeking a Certificate of Appropriateness for 20 Hollis Street, Assessors Map 112-134, to install new windows and trim, a new mailbox and light fixture. Copies of the application and supporting materials are avail- able for review by contacting the GHDC via the Land Use Dept, 2nd floor of the Town Hall.

Groton DPW Seeks Bids on Country Club Roof Repairs

Specifications will be available at the Town Hall, 173 Main Street in Groton, between the hours of 9am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday, from the DPW Assistant or by email to highway@grotonma.gov. Bids will be received until Friday, November 12, 2021. The DPW reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or parts thereof if deemed in the best interest of the Town of Groton.
