Groton Historical Society Reschedules Talk at GPL

Groton Historical Society will host a talk  Tuesday, Feb 4, at 7 pm in Sibley Hall at Groton Public Library on: "How to Research the History of Your Old House" featuring Carl Flowers, rescheduled from an earlier date because of weather concerns.  Mr. Flowers has recently published Groton's Anonymous Mistress, a history of his 1722 home on Dan Parker Road.  Carl will present a slide show describing some of the history of his house and the process by which he uncovered its remarkable story. Groton Historical Society staff will be on hand with information and sources that can enable you to learn the history of your own home.

Refreshments will be served.  Autographed copies of the book will be available for sale. This program is free and open to the public thanks to a grant from the Town of Groton's Trust Funds' lecture fund. Call Groton Historical Society at 478-448-0092 for more info, or visit GrotonHistoricalSociety.org.
