Jocelyn L. (Savin) MacLeod, 86, of Groton, died Wednesday evening, February 17, 2021 at Life Care of Nashoba Valley, Littleton.
Mrs. MacLeod was born in Ayer, April 22, 1934, a daughter of Leo and Dorothea (Whittier) Savin and was a 1952 graduate of Groton High School.
For 15 years Mrs. MacLeod worked as a claims processor at Sentry Insurance in Concord. Many years ago, she worked as a telephone operator at New Eng- land Telephone Company in Ayer and Boston.
Jocelyn enjoyed needlepoint, crocheting, camping at York Beach, Maine and cheering the Boston Celtics to victory.
She leaves her daughter and son-in-law, Tobe A. and John Conway of Groton and nieces and nephews throughout New England. Her husband of 57 years, Murdo S. MacLeod died April 9, 2017. She was the sister of the late Joanne Hooker of Houston, TX.
A funeral Mass will be cel- ebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, February 25, 2021 at St. Anthony’s Church, 14 Phoenix Street, Shirley. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ayer. The Anderson Funeral Home, 25 Fitchburg Road, Ayer is assisting the family with arrangements.
