Women's Club Greens

The first snow of winter ushered in the 2012 Groton Woman's Club Greens Sale on Saturday, Dec. 1 - a picture-perfect way to begin the holiday season. Monies raised allow our group to award several scholarships to deserving college bound seniors.

We are grateful to the following individuals and organizations. Thank you to: Jim Hallet, Peter Olson, Otto Newman, Len Bennett, Amy Kilham, Al Wyatt, Traci Hoffman, Jane Alpert Bouvier, Brendan Crewe of The Groton Channel, North Middlesex Savings Bank, Groton Electric Light, The Groton Herald, The Groton Landmark, The Sun, Action Unlimited, Nashoba Valley Guide, Union Congregational Church, the neighbors on Wharton Row, the Williams Barn Committee and customers who purchased items from the sale.

For almost 100 years, Groton Woman's Club has facilitated numerous service projects benefiting our community. The annual Greens Sale is one such activity with all profits going toward helping families fund ever increasing college expenses. Plans are being made for our next sale which will be held at the Williams Barn on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013.
