Hiring Realtor to Sell Tarbell & Prescott of 'No Value Whatsoever' Says Town Manager

"The hiring of a Realtor to market the two town-owned properties, Tarbell and Prescott Schools was of no value whatsoever," stated Town Manager Mark Haddad following the opening of bids for the town properties on Wednesday morning, Sept. 9.

"There were no additional bids for either building," Haddad said, noting that Greg Yenchenko is still the sole bidder for Prescott and that Brooks Lyman is the sole bidder for Tarbell School.

In the agreement with the realtor who marketed the properties, Yenchenko's bid was not to be included in any payment to the realtor, although Haddad said that the town will have to pay $5K to the Real Estate agent for the work done for Tarbell School. "There was just no added value here," he said.
