The Artist and the Orchard

Groton Garden Club members recently welcomed local author Linda Hoffman. Her memoir “The Artist and The Orchard” tells the story of bringing an abandoned orchard back to life, organically. She shared stories about learning to grow apples without chemicals and running Old Frog Pond Farm in Harvard. Linda is a sculptor too and she showed photos of her art on display at the farm. Formerly from Groton and a member of the Garden Club, she reconnected with several members during her visit. The Club presented Linda with a bright spring bouquet designed by Lisa Bohne of Lavender.
