The Nashoba Brooks School for Girls in Concord has bestowed its school-wide Brooks Bear Award on Sophie Widmayer of Groton for her work embodying Community, one of the school's core values. Miss Widmayer has been assisting classmates who struggle to cope with the perils of playground play. She is enrolled in the second grade.
