Doctor of Medicine Degree from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences
Lt. Andrew Bessolo of Groton received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences at the 35th Commencement Exercises held at Constitution Hall in Washington, DC on May 17, 2014.
Andrew, a 2003 graduate of Groton-Dunstable High School, received his Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology from the University of New Hampshire in 2007 and was employed as a research professional by the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston for three years.
He was commissioned as an officer in the US Navy in June 2010, prior to starting medical school at the USUHS campus on the grounds of the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. LT Bessolo is currently performing his medical internship at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA.
