Groton Artists Win Awards at State Show
Groton artists Barbara Badstubner, Shirley Man and Peg McWade earned awards at "We Celebrate Freedom," the Massachusetts Senior Art Show at at the Commonwealth Museum in Boston Sept. 28.

Badstubner, Man and McWade each entered an original piece. Badstubner and McWade earned honorable mentions and Man was awarded a first place ribbon. There were one hundred and eighteen entries by senior citizens from forty-eight Massachusetts cities and towns, including the three from Groton.
Groton's Council on Aging introduced the artists to the show, delivered their artwork to the Commonwealth Museum and provided transportation to the awards ceremony. Congratulations to Barbara, Shirley and Peg!
