Nashoba Valley Technical High School Welcomes Freshmen
Nashoba Valley Technical High School welcomed 200 freshmen - the largest incoming freshman class in decades - and most of them attended a two-day orientation facilitated by this year's group of 36 Kick-Off Mentors.
KOMs are juniors who are trained to coordinate and run orientation, and to act as mentors to the freshmen throughout the school year, helping them to acclimate themselves to the school and being available at all times to assist and answer questions. Students are chosen to be KOMs by staff at the end of their sophomore year.
This year's class of KOMs includes Jonathan Fike and Alicia Gentile, both of Groton, and Shaun Sanville of Dunstable.
