Students In Public Speaking Contest

Mike Templeton (left) of Groton is a finalist in the Eleanor Crow Public Speaking Contest, a competition among all 8th graders at Applewild School in Fitchburg.
Wesley Cline (right) of Groton was also among the contestants.
The original speeches were on the theme of "This I Believe." Mike's speech was entitled "The Power of Comedy," and Wesley's title was "Friday Night Lights."
The winner of the competition will be honored at 8th grade graduation in June.
