Groton Garden Club members recently held their annual Boxwood Tree workshop, a welcomed community service project for the benefit the Council on Aging Meals on Wheels Program. Five decorated trees were delivered to the Center for distribution. Decorated trees were also delivered to the Groton Fire Station, the Groton Police Station and the Library. Pictured are members Ellen Smith (l) and Michael Sarcia, designing and creating their boxwood trees. This photo of Dawn Dunbar, Executive Assistant for the Town of Groton, was taken at the commemoration of the payoff of the Surrenden Farm debt at the General Field last week. Dawn began her career in Groton in 2010 and has worked for Town Manager Mark Haddad since 2013. Mr. Haddad has high praise for her saying, “She is an amazing employee.
