Boys Soccer, 6th in Central MA

Groton-Dunstable boys' soccer split, losing to Shepherd Hill 4-2 in a non-league game but bounced back with an impressive1-0 shutout win Saturday over visiting Dracut (7-2-1).

Against the Rams, Matt Krikorian (assist: Matt Straw) and Matt Warren (assist: Matt Tornaritis) scored late but it wasn't enough as the Rams got goals from Matt Beaureguard (2)and Marc Widney (2).

Shots favored GD 23-17, corner kicks even at 6-6, fouls SH 14-9.

Mitch Wheeler finished a feed from Gabe Dingle in the 7th minute that made it past Dracut keeper Josh Lerman. The score proved to be the game winner. GD received great defensive play from Tyler Belanger, Tyler Poitras, Eric Niemoller and Luke Costello. Records: Dracut 7-2-1 overall; GD 7-3-1 overall. Shots favored GD 12-8, corner kicks Dracut 4-2, fouls GD 20-13
