New Head Golf Professional Joins Groton Pool & Golf Center Staff

Groton Pool & Golf Center Golf Pro Search Committee, is pleased to announce that Mr. James Tennant will join the staff as Head Golf Professional for the 2014 Season. The committee, working with the PGA, conducted a search that included interviews with a number of qualified candidates during the last several months and concluded Jim was the best qualified. 

Jim is a Class A PGA Member with many years of public and private club experience, most recently as Director of Instruction at Eastward Ho Country Club in Chatham. Prior to that he served 14 years as Head Professional at Westwood Golf Club, a municipally owned golf club in Farmington, CT. where he introduced a PGA Award winning Jr. Golf Program and increased golf membership.

Jim will be on site starting March 17, in time for the beginning of the new golf season. The golf operation will once again be located in the Pro Shop building near the first tee where Jim will operate the merchandise concession.
