BOYS LACROSSE

Key Returnees: Zach Cotoni, Sr. (A), P.J. Kendall, Sr. (G) 

Key Losses: Quintin Forbes (M), Tristan Lynch (M), A.J. Dufresne (D), Austin Hourani (A)

Comments: G-D loses All-American Quintin Forbes, Zach Cotoni returns and can score.. P.J. Kendall is solid in goal. Challenging Mid-Wach A Division 3 Central/East schedule may help in post-season.

GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD

Record last year: 4-3

Coach: Colleen Naboichek

Captains: Briana Bozkurt, Annie Gold, Samantha Ferraro, Taylor White, Sarah Morenz

Players to Watch: Briana Bozkurt, Annie Gold, Samantha Ferraro, Taylor White, Sarah Morenz, Emily Willson, Emily McAuliffe, Brianna Considine, Elin Svanborg, Olivia Dunsmoor, Katie Wogan, Lexie Ferraro.

Expectations:  This is a very strong team with potential first place athletes followed by many point scorers.  Our goal is to win the league and place very high in the Central MA Class B Meet.

SOFTBALL

Record last year:  10-10 (6-4 league)                                                                                                  Coach: Derek Asadoorian  (14th year)      

Lost to Shrewsbury 1st round (1st ever division 1 appearance for G-D softball; this will be our 3rd year in division 1)

Key Players graduated: Celina Antonellis, Alyssa Ash, Ariana Cho, Annika Liljegren, Erin Olson

Captains: Laura Bieren and TBD

Returning starters: Laura Bieren (Jr. 2B), Rose O'Malley (Jr. SS), Emily Figueroa (Jr. OF), Caroline Thompson (Jr. 1B), Bridget O'Malley (So. OF)

Concerns: Biggest games on schedule, league and nonleague: We play a very competitive Division 1 schedule.  They are all big.

Strengths: Coachability, effort, core nucleus returning

Areas that need improvement: First time ever that there are no seniors on the team, so leadership will be the most important area to improve.

Team goals: To compete at a high level during each practice and game.

Overall impression of the team/other comments: With no seniors, we are a young team but do have some experience.  The success of our team will rest upon whether our experienced players can build off of last season as well as how quickly the new players can assimilate into their roles and produce under pressure

BOYS TENNIS

Coach: Richard Hamilton (17th year)

Captains: Mark Roper, Moose Chaudhry, Eric Yanchenco

Players to watch: Along with the captains, Drew Cartier, Eric Niemoller, Jake Hertog, Connor Johnson, George Colarullo

Expectations: The team has been working hard and has improved, playing with confidence and making intelligent decisions. Large schools competition is challenging but will bring up the level of play.
