Toshie (Okura) Kelly
Mrs. Toshie (Okura) Kelly, 91, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022 in Merrimack Community Hospice House after a prolonged illness. She was the wife of the late Mr. Edward J. Kelly.
Born in Japan on October 5, 1930, the daughter of the late Kurakichi Okura and Dai Konodo, she was predeceased by her sister Sakae Yanagida, and brothers Utaka and Minoru Okura.
She served the community as a dedicated nurse for 40 years at local hospitals in Groton and Ayer. Toshie loved sharing a meal with good company, traveling, gardening, caring for animals and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Carol A. Bigda and her husband Ken of NC; Robert L. Kelly and his wife Sharon of Nashua, NH; Mary J. Perrin and her husband George of Shirley; Joseph J. Kelly and his wife Beth of Ayer; and John F. Kelly and his wife Jean of Hillsboro, NH. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren: Chrissy, Maggie, David, Samantha, Michael, Patrick, Becky and Justin as well as great grandchildren: Sarah, Jacob, Angelina, Christopher, Anabella, Antonio, Joseph, Isabelle and Riley.
